Frequently Asked Questions

Fitment, shipping, returns and warranty questions about genuine OEM electrical and lighting parts for import cars at ImportAutoElectricalParts.

Finding the right part

What is the fastest way to match a part to my car?

Find the OEM number on the part you are replacing — it is stamped on the housing, moulded into a connector body, or printed on a label on the back of the unit. Then search our catalog by that number. If the old part carries no readable number, send us the VIN and we will pull the electrical parts breakdown for that exact build.

Are these genuine OEM parts?

Every listing states whether the item is genuine OEM (dealer-boxed, manufacturer part number) or an aftermarket equivalent. For aftermarket items the page lists both the manufacturer number and the OEM numbers it replaces, so you can judge the swap against the part in your hand rather than against a marketing description.

How do I know an electrical part will not throw a code?

Check three things before ordering: the OEM interchange number, the connector pin count and shape shown in the photos, and the model-year range on the listing. Sensors and modules that look identical often differ by resistance value or by keyed connector, and a mismatched one usually produces a fault code within the first drive cycle.

My Nissan, Kia, Mazda or Volvo model is not listed — can you still supply it?

Usually yes. The catalog shows the part numbers we currently stock; a missing listing means it is not loaded yet, not that the part is unavailable. Email the VIN, the model year and a photo or number of the old component and we will confirm availability and price.

Shipping and delivery

When will my order ship, and how long does it take to arrive?

In-stock items are picked and handed to the carrier within 1–2 business days. Transit is normally 3-7 business days in the contiguous United States, and a tracking number is emailed the moment the parcel is scanned by the carrier.

How is the free shipping threshold calculated?

Shipping is free once your cart subtotal passes $59, before tax. Below that amount the live carrier rate is added at checkout and is shown before you confirm payment, so the total you see is the total you pay.

Do you deliver to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada or overseas?

The checkout is configured for contiguous United States addresses. For Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Canada or any other destination, message us with the part number and the full address first — we will quote the carrier cost and confirm service before you place the order.

Orders, returns and warranty

Can an order still be changed after it is submitted?

Reach out immediately and we will try to amend the address or hold the shipment while it is still in the picking queue. Once a carrier has the parcel we cannot recall it, and the return process applies instead.

What happens if a component arrives broken or will not fit?

Send us the order number plus photos of the component and the carton within 48 hours of delivery. Transit damage and mis-shipments are corrected at our expense, return freight included. If the part physically will not seat, include the VIN so we can confirm the correct number before arranging the return.

Can electrical and lighting parts be returned?

Electrical and lighting components may be returned only if they are unused and still sealed in their original packaging, because once a module or lamp has been energised or fitted it can no longer be sold as new. Eligible items follow the standard 30 day window measured from delivery.

Do you quote for repair shops and resellers?

Yes. Send the OEM numbers and quantities you need and we will reply with a price. Tiering depends on the line item and on the total order value, and mixed electrical assortments are welcome.

How do I get a proper invoice for my records?

A confirmation email goes out automatically when the order is placed and the invoice is attached to the dispatch email. If you need it reissued to a company name or with a tax identifier on it, email the order number and we will regenerate it.

Is there a warranty on sensors, modules and lamps?

Coverage follows the manufacturer warranty on the part, and we help you file the claim with that manufacturer rather than layering a separate store policy on top. Consumable items — bulbs, fuses and pigtail harnesses — are typically excluded by the manufacturer once they have been installed.

Why can the same fitment appear twice at two prices?

Genuine OEM and aftermarket versions of one fitment are separate listings and never share a price. When two entries look alike, the difference is usually the brand, the production origin or the pack quantity — compare the OEM interchange list on each page before deciding.
